OOAK Miniature "Yarn Ball" Dangle Earrings

I started making these little miniature yarn balls over a year ago when I wanted to create a knitting themed Faerie Hutch.  As I browsed around online, I found that doll house sized miniature yarn was way too expensive and not very good looking. So I came up with a way to make my own mini yarn balls. Recently, I was inspired by a swap for a knitter and I took the yarn balls and turned them into earrings. This is the result. It was a "Hot Topic" on Craftster.org and garnered a ton of positive response.

The dollhouse (1:12 scale) mini yarn balls are deceptively simple. They take more time to make than you'd expect. (Such is true for most miniatures though! It's always harder to make something small rather than full-scale.)

These balls use three multi-tone colors of red, orange and yellow. They are about 3" in total dangle length, but weigh almost nothing. Keep them away from water so the color doesn't bleed but other than that, they should stand up to normal wear-and-tear just fine. This is the perfect gift for someone who knits, crochets or sews. It's a unique one-of-a-kind item that's sure to draw attention!
